Welcome to my official website,
my virtual home that I inhabit in this
mythical digital world of the web.

OK, so who am I? Well, Monday to Friday I'm Stevie Jones, a music teacher at a comp in north London, which will remain nameless to protect the identity of the innocent (as if - they are few and far between at my school). But at the weekends I am Elvis. The King is only dead if you don't know where to look for him. I used to do the Elvis tribute thing more or less full-time. I thought I'd make a career of it (see gig listings); lots of people earn a decent living that way. But it wasn't to be. It's complicated ...

All shook up: I'm in a book!!

You know how I was saying how complicated my life is? Well, stuff didn't work out for me because I met the right woman at the wrong time, married too young, and lost the plot ... Look, I'll get to that, or rather Adele Parks will. She's this novelist and she's written this whole book about me. Which is a bit weird, but really flattering. The books called Husbands.

It's the story about me falling in love, then me discovering my wife is a bigamist (and my wife wasn't even the person I was in love with). All the action centres around my performance in the European King of Kings competition 2005, in Las Vegas. Get this; the gig was attended by my chick, my wife and my wife's other husband. Not exactly your everyday boy meets girl story, hey? Despite my personal embarrassment I have to admit that Parks has done a damn fine job of presenting this tale from everyone's point of view. She even manages to make me feel some sympathy for my scheming wife, a veritable miracle!

Get yourself a copy and let me know what you think.
